What was your biggest downswing during the 150k hands at 3-6?

I have 2 questions for you..

1) Why did you stop playing for a living? e You mentioned
burnout but is that the main reason?

2) Why did you think you burnt out? Everyone is different
but if you played 200k hands over 10 months, that's
20k hands a month. Earlier you mentioned you played 400
hands an hour, that = roughly 13 hours a week of poker.
Isn't that a little low to cause burnout?

when I was working, it was roughly 15-25 hours/wk of play, all 8-tabling, another 15-25 hours of thinking about poker/reading/posting.

For the time I was at 3/6 - 2 months of 4 tabling, 2 months of 6 tabling, 2 months of 8 tabling. 150k hands, but a wide range of hours.

I'm not trying to say I had a really tough job, just that I was experiencing burnout on poker. If you haven't played for a living, it can be hard to understand.

You mentioned burnout but is that the main reason?

Since you're not a pro any longer, does this mean we can stop feeling guilty when we use your converter without making a contribution, or should we continue feeling guilty while using it wihtout making a contribution?

Oh, and how much google stock do you get?

I think I made it clear: I made this useful thing that Joe Tall dislikes that sometimes works. I also make funny and insightful posts that save lives and help heal the wounds of our modern existence.

If you have money sitting around and feel like giving it to me, then you will have my gratitude and I will have your money to spend on things.

I don't get any google stock for a while.

Many forget that there is really no downtime or slowtime in this. Your mind is constantly on the ready and working when in a session. Which is very mentally exhausting at times especially when logging long hours. You are always thinking. There's nothing preplanned to do from 3 minutes to the next as you don't know what your next hand is. Im not sure what job compares to it. Im too mentally drained to try and think of one. Many times you have to kind of 'rediscover' it to make it fresh and new again.

Congratulations on your success.

I think it's fantastic.

I think air traffic controller might be a good comparison, although I guess the stakes are a little higher there.

On the original topic, congratulations Bison and thanks for all the time and intelligence you've put into these forums. It is appreciated.
