I need my couch and the comfort of my den for the Jets game on Saturday. I won't be attending. One room at the Borgata has opened up.

Will empire pay for a room in Absecon, since it's not technically in AC? Has anyone asked this already?

$39/$59 is the midweek rate. It's $125 on the weekends.

Thats odd, when I called last week both the Borg & the Taj were all booked up on the poker rate plan. The Trop was too expensive, so I decided to stay in Abescon instead this weeked.

My newest hobby - Hotel Whoring!!!!

So how are all of us 2+2'ers going to meet up at this Empire Party thingy? I'll be very easy to find, I'm mid 30's and nobody dresses in loud suits the way that I do.

The Sheraton is only $179 for saturday night.

I'll be the 5'10'' scrawy Irish kid wearing a Sam Adams hat, grinding 2/4 at the Borg.

I'm guessing I just got lucky and had good timing, since I haven't done any major gambling that would warrant me being offered the poker room rate over others. Maybe try calling again and see if anything has changed?

I called the Borgata last night to see if I could still get a poker rate, and they said they were completely booked, poker rate or not.

I sent an e-mail on the 7th and had not yet gotten a response on the 10th (yesterday), so I resent the e-mail. I received the following response this morning.

"You will be receiving a confirmation mail later today."

I won't be holding my breath.
