First of all, you get props for recognizing it first. Zankou is the [censored].

And yes, it's an LA thing. It's an Armenian chain of fast-food restaurants in LA, but it is so much better than fast food. It is really good rotisserie chicken and other middle-eastern style food. If you're ever in LA, and near Glendale (Pasadena, Van Nuys, or Hollywood) then definitely check it out.

I'm very interested also! I've lost some situational awareness through the e-mail string, are the chips going to have denoms? (Prefer not but it's not a showstopper) Also, feel the "$1" chip have be white with blue spots, more traditional. Please acount me in, if possible, could someone do a summary of the chips we are looking at in the set (color, spots, other) thanks -Stump

Default Chip Proofs and some info

Since I have decided to use TR King I did some mock ups to reflect the edge spots and the imprint they use.

Pricing will still be about a dollar a chip from what I can tell.
Also, I would like to know if people are interested in using credit cards to order. I own a record company and could do the order via that web site if people are interested. I would have to work out the numbers, but if someone needs to use a VISA or MC and is willing to pay the processing fee then I'm opening to looking into it. Otherwise people can use checks via the escrow.
Lastly, some people have mentioned they would prefer white for the 1.00. I like blue for two reasons - it doesn't get dirty and look ugly like 99% of the white poker chips I have from casinos look, and the Belagio and my local Muckleshoot uses blue for 1.00 and I think it looks sexier.
Let me know what you guys (and galls) think of the designs. If anyone wants to see if people from other boards are interested I know more must exist - I'm just only familiar with this one.

Nice chips...

Although I'm not going in on your group buy I thought I'd share my comments.

Why not use the "¢" symbol for the $.25 chip?
FYI - it's <ALT>0162 for most fonts if you can't copy the symbol from character map or something.

I really like the round edge spots on the 25¢ chip so I'd use it more and/or save it for the larger denoms.

Not crazy about the edge color combos on the $500 or the $1000. Any way of getting more exact colors... e.g. a color chart, chip pic samples etc...

Definitely like blue over white and agree w/ your comments about the grime factor.

I think I'd like a colored graphic over the black & white but the same simple design (i.e. wht bkg & simlar pose)... image seems kind of flat IMO. Didn't know if this was possible or are you limited to two colors?

I'd think you'd get a lot of interest in these. I enjoy the updates and nice to see some more mock-ups.

Good luck,
Fins

Nice work on the mockups.

I like a great triple-double. The moon inserts are also great.

Consider something like:
$.25 - orange with 5*sky
$1 - blue with 4*white
$5 - red with 3*sky blue double-wide
$25 - green with 3*orange/black
$100 - black with 3*green/pink
$500 - purple with 3*white/grey
$1000 - yellow with black moons
$5000 - brown with pink moons
