How do I get my bankroll to vegas?

Seriously, I would't worry too much about the whole "airplane" thing. Get a money belt and keep it "stashed." Keep a wad of $1 bills with a $20 on the outside in your pocket and give it to the "bandits" if you get robbed. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] Trust me, they won't want to check your crotch. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

When you get here, just stay in the main touristy type areas, don't wander far from any major casino, and you should be just fine.

I'm always surprised when people jump all over a guy just because he's not comfortable carrying $2000 to an unfamiliar place. If he's nervous through the whole plane ride and taxi to the hotel, why do it?

Just because you're bankrolled for 10/20 doesn't mean that you don't want to risk losing your money unecessarily. Losing 100 BB at the poker table is one thing, but getting it stolen from you is completely different.

I'm sure there's got to be some way to get the money at the Casino, either by withdrawing from the ATM if your daily limit is large enough or by cashing a check at the cage, etc.

I have used this product (http://bj21.com/ads/walletLeath.html) to carry my roll before. I carried the rest as <$10k cashier's checks to myself. Upon arrival to the casino go straight to the cage and keep it on deposit there.

I don't think it's a big deal to carry a few thousand dollars with you. But if you really don't want to, you can establish a line of credit with the casino, then sign a marker for your money when you get there. They usually expect you to play table games with it, but there's nothing to stop you from playing poker instead. If you win, you buy your marker back. If you lose, they'll deduct the marker from your bank account or you could probably write them a check.
