I'm curious, as its a question that comes up often about the good young players, how did you go about building up your bankroll to be able to play at these limits? How much did you originally start with?

Nice!!! It's always nice to see a young modest man walking away with such a huge pile of cash. Job well done.
It was funny when I first read this post, and you said you'd be on TV. Then I see you hacking through everyone like a chainsaw and walk away the youngest bracelet winner. Thanks for posting. Best of luck to you in the future too.

Congratulations. Last night's show was very entertaining and I was pulling for you all the way (not already knowing the result). I think you looked like you played well not like you just got lucky. That was one of my favorite final tables that ESPN has shown so far this year. For what it is worth, I didn't think that they played the "lucky young guy wins" card too hard. Norm Chad did make a comment near the end that if Gavin won he would fully deserve it. Anyway, congrats on the win and on the classy way that you acted. I'm sure if I heard Helmuth complaining after I knocked him out I would have called him a douche bag or something, so you are a much bigger man than I [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Congrats, Gavin! You have already fulfilled one of my lifetime goals- rivering Phil Hellmuth and knocking him out of a WSOP tournament! [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] Oh, yeah, I guess you won a bracelet too...
This was the first 2004 episode my wife watched with me, and she was impressed by how calm and classy you were, especially in comparison to the Crew idiots (who were prominently featured in the next episode). Nice to see that a very young champion can act with poise and class during and after the tournament. Kudos.
