Hand 1. BET

2. BET

3. CALL

sUGGestion: 1 quiz hand per thread. The discussion seems too mixed up or mixed in to follow with three hands. I didn't bother trying to sort it out, and discussing any particular hand seems like a muddle.

hand 3:

more tags openlimping and colcalling eh? aaaaallriiiiight.

so utg + 2 limped/called, then check/called, then check/raised huh?

hmmmm...

how is this not a set?

[/ QUOTE ]

Might be a set. Might be 2 pair (A9s, A7s), but I'd be a bit surprised that they didn't raise the flop. They could be waiting for a safe turn I guess.

Might be a semibluff raise with something that just picked up a flush draw (like QJs/JTs, maybe, since the flop call could be ok with 2 overs and 2 bd draws). I think it's most likely a set or a semibluff, but I can't rule out 2-pair (which makes life difficult when we're capped).

Hand 1: Bet and represent

Hand 2: Check and pick off a bluff/value bet the river

Hand 3: If UTG+2 were very strong, he would find a bet somewhere along the way with a set so that he can 3-bet when the A comes. He's likely mediocre and flopped a set, or picked up 2 prs with A9s or is taking shots with Ts9s. I call down and expect to be in a bad situation so that he cannot feel free to bluff you off of hands this way in the future.

Hand 1 I bet. I think we pick this up HU on a semibluff here enough to show a profit.

Hand 2 I check this turn, and call a river bet. This allows us to see a showdown and induces a bluff from the villian if we're ahead. Unless I'm against NLSoldier that is...he likes to double check here in villian's shoes

Hand 3 with no read I call down. He could have us reverse dominated, so why risk more bets? Lets just get to a showdown as cheap as possible.

Why are you 3-betting this AK hand?

So what range are we putting villain on in hand 3? Take into account all of his actions in the hand to this point.

he could have a wide range of hands but: trips, A9/7, only a 9, 2 pair (97), or semi-bluff OESD. i hate to reraise because i want to see the showdown and i'm only folding weaker hands by aggressive play here or getting capped by a stronger one.

You should certainly rule out 97, too. An EP limp?
