I have as far back as I remember used a tactic that often made me lose money to begin with, but ended up making me win more than anybody else who were regulars in my game at the end.

It is like taking 2 steps backwards to be able to go 4 steps forward, I find it much more fun than just walking one step forward at the time, which is what the grinders do.

Yesterday I played a little more than 2500 hands, I lost about $550 and I will attribute that to my standard of play deteriorating due to the long session and me 3 tabling and even 4 tabling at times.

I folded the best hand in a $282 pot flop JJ4r I had 4,8 in BB lots of people in turn is an 8, I still call (very bad call) then river gets bet and and called in front of me, think it was a 2. I fold as my * got no kicker, first guy had nothing second guy 33! ouch.

Got the crazy guy back later in a similar pot, I have 77 flop is 456r lots of bettin, the raiser raises didn't mean nothing, I was concerned about getting the 3rd guy out, turn is a nothing card river is a 5 3rd I win $242 or so with my 77.

Just playing a few on sunday, will visit the local Casino, they do not offer poker [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] but they have a few nice restaurants.

how can a perfectly played granny result in a loss? you must have missed a cap or something.

Well, I play them to perfection, as a matter of fact, I was playing Video Poker at the local Casino yesterday, the dealt cards were 3445Q with two spades , needless to say I kept the Q5 of spades only, I did hit a Q to make a pair, but 2 pair was needed to get a win, I just realized why I didn't win, I forgot to scream GRANNY MAE!!! ouch!

I played 300 hands or so yesterday, went up about $200, and am now standing at +$1765.
