From a skill perspective not statiscal I think Trent Green is an average QB. He is largely a product of a great O-Line and running game (Which is also caused by the O-Line) he doesn't make great plays, but he doesn't make terrible plays in other words he is average.

"He's always thrown picks,"

Myth. Farve's best years were 94-98
TD INT
33 14
38 13
39 13
35 16
31 23

Except for 98 he never averaged over 1 per game, this year he is at 9tds and 8int.

Besides that what you are saying is that he is incapable of adjusting to his teams needs (ala brady) which makes him an average AQ. Being a great in the NFL is about wins- he was fantastic doing that once, but not anymore.

Good stuff on the picks. Clearly less than one per game is excellent...

I didn't say anything like that. I said this is the QB he is. He makes risky throws and takes chances. That's what I said. As for him not adjusting, what do you want him to do? Block for himself and catch for himself? The offensive unti changed, the offense didn't. To say he's average in the same way a guy like Kerry Collins is average strikes me as ludicrous. He can sitll lead a team and he can sitll make big plays. Less than he used to but more than Kerry Collins or Byron Leftwich.

Byron leftwich had his [censored] offensive line carry him from one play to the next on a a broken ankle.

Hes a beast and i love.

I like Leftwich too. But we're not talking about toughness, and I'm not saying he won't be an above average NFL qb. But he isn't right now.

(Oh, and trying to say toughness factors into an above average rating and then saying Brett Favre isn't above average is pretty dumb. Actually, its really dumb.)

It's easy for Favre to be tough when he is eating painkillers like M & Ms.

If he's going to get all the credit for his 164 wins or whatever it is, he has to take the blame for these four losses.
