Jennifer is well above average. Annie is smarter still. Top 30 probably. Only female gambler who is smarter is Mika Ladove.

I've read you're a really nice guy, and I believe it. I wasn't attacking you, just reacting to the Ph.D. thing. In my experience, Ph.D.'s are not much less likely to waver from the path of pure logic than anyone else.

A typical engineering dissertation defense can include crying, pleading, cajoling, yelling, name calling, threats, bribery, and other assorted unseemly conduct. In other contexts, when these forms of persuasion fail, resort is sometimes made to backstabbing, brown-nosing, sabotage and other cheap tricks. When all else fails, the ultimate argument is made in the form of a lawsuit.

They do seem to play a little nicer over in physics, though.

BTW, niether "ahahaha" or "ewe mating call" are good examples of purely logical argument, though perhaps slightly elevated compared to the typical level of discourse here.

Not true at all. Sports are strange in that there is a very large number of people who spend years and years of time devoted to that sport. Most baseball players for instance never get a chance to play professional baseball, let alone AAA.

By the way, I was friends with the late Tony Miles, Britain's greatest ever Chess player. He famously beat Karpov after an opening move of H4! I would not say he was particularly smart, although possibly my judgement was hindered by his alcohol and mental problems.
