LOL I guess I won't be doing the Empire Bonus. I tried to log on today and it said my account has been frozen.

F'em. I was going to deposit and keep $50 in my account and play there every Saturday, guess that's not going to happen.

I haven't heard of this bonus and I'm a regular Empire player. What are the details?

I wasn't afraid of it, until they shut my account today. Bummer.

Pokerroom has better reward system. They give you a month or two to acquire your bonus. Not 10 days.
I think it is stupid of a site to offer a bonus then freeze accounts that play for the bonus.
Just increase the number of raked hands required or improve software to not offer bonuses to low traffic players.

true, except for the last part. They want low traffic players to play more at their site, that is why they have the bonus. The closing thing have to do with pp itself, some kind of deal between them maybe.

I disagree. Whn I read this thread I emailed them. They require 1000 raked hands for a 100 bonus this tuesday. That is alot! IF i am a bad player or have bad luck and quit after getting my bonuses, they don't like that? That is bs!
They can improve their software to limit bonuses to valued players.

Here is part of their response:

...Empire Poker management decided to close accounts of few inactive players, who chose not to play on empire at all, but constantly claimed its bonuses. All blocked accounts were chosen through very restricted ruling to prevent any active player from being harmed. ...Empire does not appreciate players who take advantage of this generosity and chose to show up only to cash bonuses.

WE NEED ANOTHER ONLINE ROOM TO OFFER BETTER RAKE OR DIRECT PLAYER RAKEBACK.

Plenty of places do, like Absolute, Ultimate Bet, TruePoker, PokerChamps. Most of the sites I listed allow you to play with rakeback, and bonuses don't count against MGR. Why don't you go play somewhere else?

ty. I plan on looking into other sites. Usually play at Empire and pokerroom. I thought Truepoker used to have only single table and horrible software.
They are not freezing my acount. But all the same, seems sleezy to me.
