Yeah you are definitely right - I just wanted to clarify the fact that he was the first to act after GoT's bet rather than the second.

GoT:
Really good hand to post. Enjoyed every street. At first I was like, wtf is he doing. Then I like everything I saw and would have bet the river there as well. Look. I like to read the archives and have printed a lot of them out to study them, highlight them, etc. There's plenty of them back there with you learning stuff from others, taking steps from becoming an intermediate player to an expert player. I'm working hard to make that jump. Hands like this and the thought processes they induce are a great help. So, as I'm sure you felt thankful for the time others gave you to help you out, I'm saying thanks and asking you to spend some more time in here with hands and thoughts. Thanks, QT |

I think the board has become just a little too scary here. Maybe that's timid, but I would just check-chop.

This is chip spewage.
Your suited connector didn't hit big - you made second to lowest pair. I would have folded this on the flop because a) it is unlikely that 9 will remain top pair after turn/river b) you only hit a pair on a two suited paired board. Sometimes, depending on reads, I will raise the flop, but it has to be at a table not filled with calling stations. |

A word of advice to all of you newer posters, and I'm being completely serious with this. When GuyOnTilt posts a hand in this forum, you need to sit back and learn. I don't think I'm going out on a limb when I say he's the best player that posts in small stakes. |

[/ QUOTE ] i agree, the small bits of advice he and evan have given me have been absouletely huge for my game. probably much more helpful than many weeks worth of ss posts. rj |
