Re: Recommend me ANY music
Download some Creed... just 'cause.
For real though... Stuff that isnt talked about on these boards that I really really really dig (though, it seems likely that you've heard it all) Exile in guyville - Liz Phair I see a darkness - Bonnie 'Prince' Billy American Water - Silver Jews Low - Bowie Marquee Moon - Television Gorham swears by Bricolage - Amon Tobin. Give Born to Run - Springsteen another listen... it might be as good as an album gets. Also, FWIW, I should finish 1.5 GB torrent of NMH stuff tomrrow or the next day. In addition to all the studio stuff, it includes some rare tracks, rare demos, 2 sets of unreleased demos and maybe 15 concerts (all (or almost all) from the post ITAOTS era). If any one is interested, I could put it up somewhere. |

I'm an indie noob but would love to hear some of this. Hate to make this thread more indie related but your PM's are full. To bring things back to the more popular. I am not afraid to admit I own all MB20's albums, and love me some U2 both new and old. |

Re: Recommend me ANY music
try these for something a little different if you don't already know them:
os mutantes - s/t (late 60s brazilian band) monks - black monk time (60s american GIs stationed in germany making truly unique rock'n'roll. nothing like them.) sam the sham & the pharoahs - best of, or whatever.(60s rocknroll. the dudes that sing 'wooly bully' and 'lil red riding hood') wailers - 'boys from tacoma' (60s instrumental rocknroll.) gories - anything by the gories. early 90s garage/punk/rocknroll from deeeetroit. falcons - i found a love (60s r&b/soul, lead by wilson pickett. great stuff) lyres - on fyre, ahs 1005 (80s, boston based, post-DMZ. garage/psych/rocknroll) |

Check out Interpol, either of their albums "Antics" or "Turn on the Bright Lights", both are awesome.

I knew this thread was just a clever trap to lure all of the unsuspecting Korn and Nickelback and Gwen Stefani fans in. then you all pounce, Indie style |
