Ken Griffey Jr.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh c'mon, I'd wager he's like #2 on the list of people Ms fans hate (right behind A-Rod).

[/ QUOTE ]wrong, in fact 100% wrong.

Randy Johnson is ahead of him, as is Rich Amaral, Bobby Ayala, Heathcliff Slocumb, Paul Spoljaric, Jeff Cirillo, Rich Aurillia, and a vast assortment of Yankee players.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is coming from a few Ms fans I know. Shrug. Maybe they're different.

[/ QUOTE ]I don't think they are true M's fans, or really true baseball fans. They don't want to look at the big picture. If Griffey was still there, do they realize the run the M's had from 2000 to 2003 was likely not to have happened if they M's had Griffey's big contract. Griffey always stated he wanted to go to Cincy because he grew up there, and it was for his family, etc. The next season after he was traded he resigned with Cincy for a contract arguably under his market worth. That tells me that he wasn't leading us on. I for one have nothing bad to say about Griff, and I hope him the best wherever he goes.

All of this coming from a kid who grew up in Seattle and idolized Griffey Jr. I took his leaving harder than most M's fans did.

[/ QUOTE ]I am dead serious. THere are literally several hundred thousand M's fans that like the M's simply because of their 95 season. I think if your friends were real M's fans, they would be able to see what I was saying. Or perhaps they never thought about it, so maybe run it by them(no joke). Its just frustrating to see so many bandwaggon M's fans. I started going to M's games a year after I moved up to Seattle(87), and always rooted for them. Thats why 95 was so great for me, and why Griffey is one of my favs of all time.

Actually, I just posed the question to one of them:

"Griffey used to be high on the list but now I don't really care."

(It is essentially A-Rod and a bunch of Yanks).

I don't hate Favre but I'm getting tired of everyone that gets on their knees for him.

[/ QUOTE ]
Oh God, yes. Watching a Packer game becomes nearly insufferable due to the announcers' constant ballwashing.
