Re: Stars VIP = Cash???
I believe your theory of a potential chain-reaction could be partly correct.
However...I also think that if enough 2+2'ers head over to Stars then that could make the games at Party even more worthwhile. i agree that many 2+2'ers are obviously beatable (currently, I am one of those)...but that doesn't mean that the games at Stars will be especially worthwhile (compared to finding a fish-farm elsewhere perhaps). We'll just have to wait and see how it works out I suppose. |

Bob-
If you look at the freeroll page they are all already scheduled to take place on Saturdays. They have both day and time set. |

Re: Stars VIP = Cash???
Aha...didn't see that. Thanks.
Works great for me as Saturday is my big, designated 'poker day' (Sundays are bad for me due to rec-league soccer). At Supernova (if I make it) I'll be playing in all 4 tourneys practically simultaneously every Saturday. 5 of them on the last Saturday of the month. That will be some pretty crazy tourney sillyness. I see that it says 'freerolls are limited to 10k players'. that means that the $2500 silverstar freeroll will be AT LEAST $0.25 in value. Woo-hoo!!!!!!!! |

What I'd like to know is what the actual rake is for stars at various levels.. [/ QUOTE ] It's low. Real low. It's for certain lowest of any medium or major site, and it might in most instances actually be the lowest period. (Un)fortunately it's outside the EU, so for me it's a no-go. Which is good. You all move over there. Nothing to see at Party. Shoo! Get a Porsche! |

Re: Stars VIP = Cash???
Stars is supposedly illegal in many European countries. Something to do with them not being based in Europe.
I guess it's similar to the crypto sites like littlewoods that won't accept Americans...or Bodog that won't accept Canadians. However, I play with Europeans all the time on Stars. players from England, Ireland, Sweden, France, Denmark and Germany seem to be all over the place there. At the WSOP ME the guy sitting on my left was from Barcelona and he qualified for it on Stars. And obviously many of the Stars players who qualify for the EPT events are from Europe too. So I'm kind of confused on this issue...as I hear Stars is a no-go for many Europeans but then I see tons of Europeans on there. Just looking at a few random limit tables on Stars I see players from: Belgrade, Madrid, Oslo, Bergen, Ljublijana, Linkoping, Hamburg and Copenhagen. |

It's not to do with illegality, but with gaming wins taxable in Sweden if the site is outside of EU. |

Contrast to party which is 1 for 20 1.50 for 30 2 for 40 2.50 for 50 and 3 for 60. That adds up especially at 5/10 and below. |

Re: Stars VIP = Cash???
yes. the $0.50 increments make a big difference.
$31 pot on Party is raked $1.50 $39 pot on Stars is raked $1 At the 10/20 and 15/30 levels it's not going to really have an impact though. Almost all of your hands will be raked the max of $3 anyway. |
