I agree with some of busters points as well.

[ QUOTE ]

Anyway - what empire is doing is somewhat similar to how regular online-casinos handle what they term 'bonus-abusers'.
They just tell the customer that we have determined that you aren't really here to play the games "recreationally". you are just here to take advantage of our bonus offer so we have decided we no longer want your business.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't agree with this at all. Online casinos have clear rules agains bonus abuse. Empire has never even hinted at reprocussions from bonus abuse.

I agree that they can close accounts for any reason, any time, it's their business. I also feel that posters affected by the rediculous rulings at empire (party) have every right to grip here, about the shotty CS there.

I don't need any special knowledge of Empire to know that any business would try to stop situations that are repeatedly taking away from their bottom line.

[/ QUOTE ]
The problem is how they're doing it. There are plenty of easy ways that wouldn't cause all this trouble.

[/ QUOTE ]
In my opinion, the easiest and best would be to just restructure their bonuses so that there is no way to clear them without ending up paying at least the bonus amount in rake.

And you know who is to blame when rakeback does come to a screeching halt? People getting rakeback in the first place. Sure we all do it, but we are not entitled to it, and I think some people forget that. You guys act like Party will not get your business anymore if they stop paying affiliates. Where else are you going to go? Full Tilt? Lol, not likely.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is unusually rational for the zoo. Ni han.

I sent a question to Empire Poker (info@empirepoker.com) and I got the following in return:

[ QUOTE ]
Dear Player,

Thank you for contacting us.

With regards to your email, we have a special investigation team who will check the details about the player, who is abusing the bonus. If the player is abusing the bonus on the website, we will be forced to close his account, as we do not allow and Bonus abuse on our site.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've asked exactly what qualifies as 'abusing the bonus on the website'.

Well at least that's a start toward clearing things up. It sounds like Empire is taking a cue from the online casinos, no?

My e-mail there was an alias, so I think he purposely didn't answer the question directly because it came from a different e-mail than registered on my user id. So I've changed that and asked for the clarification. I'll post more if I find out more.

What the Party Network makes in exorbitantly higher rakes at the 5.00 and 12.00 levels from low limit players in one week alone pays for all the deadbeat whore pros for a year!

This poker network is just being extra greedy, which doesn't surprise me since they have shown themselves to be extra greedy concerning rakes a while back.

Anyone who is surprised how greedy they are openly becoming now is a fool. All they care about now is maximizing their bottom lines before they go from private to publicly owned. Player concerns are nothing to worry about now. Those making these obscenely greed induced decisions only care about lining their own pockets now on an individual basis.

Thus you see every effort being made to reacquire original Party signups back to the mother site, and away from its skins. An original player reacquired no doubt adds mucho $$$$ easily to the bottom line of Partys private price tag. Reacquiring a thousand or two or three of these original signups means millions to Partys eventual public pricetag.

At this point, what we all see as changes are nothing but posturing for increased money from the eventual public offering that will happen.

I say fuk them before they go public. Quit playing there the month before. Skew their numbers. They take their players for granted, show them you know that.

It's obvious they truly believe they got it made in the shade. They believe they and only they got what you want in a poker site. They believe that they could squeeze your balls harder at any time they wish, and you would still beg to play at their site. They will continue to raise their rakes in the future. They will offer less bonuses in the future. They will do what they want because none of you are willing to show you care.

Show you care, I did.

They could do it like Pokerroom. If the rake is under $1, the hand only earns you 1/2 point. This alone would make .5/1 and 1/2 limits at least neutral for them versus the whores.
