Yeah wtf? If you're 4 tabling you're making 400+ an hour. WTF are you doing trying to move up. Buy a lambourghini and thank the poker gods.

[/ QUOTE ]

Why be happy with 400 if you think it's possible you can make 800? That seems like kinda silly reasoning...just because 400 per hour is TONS of money, doesn't mean you shouldn't strive for more.

It's possible he'll make considerably less at higher limits, especially if he's running well while taking money from the fish.

He would probably have to play the 400/800 live games or the 300/600 games on Interpoker or whatever in order to maintain such a winrate, and that's only if he's good enough to beat those.

If he isn't, well, he's in for a bad surprise.

ALthough, if money isn't an issue, then, he should definitely try to beat the 50/100 games on party. I've mined/watched some of those and they seem like a good step between 30/60 and 50/100.

On alot of other sites...like AP or Pokerroom, etc...some of the high-limiters are pretty terrible. My friend who usually plays 50/100 or 80/160 took a shot at pokerrooms 200/400 last night, and even from my perspective (I dont play that high, but I was over at his place watching)...the play was pretty terrible from most of the players. He stopped when the donators left.

[/ QUOTE ]

The 2-4 at Pokerroom last night was extraordinary by any scale I think. One very solid regular was probably drunk and burned through a lot of cash, and there was another total fish who started the night playing 50/100 with me, and eventually decided that it was too easy (he ran good for about 100 hands), and went for 1-2 and then 2-4.

I sat for a long while contemplating whether or not I was gonna play, and then decided to take shot. I got in 97 hands at 38bb/100. It was indeed pretty sweet Might I ask who your friend is? I probably play with him all the time.

Anyway, the point is I have never seen so incredibly fishy play above 10/20 in my life so I think this was a one time thing.

I'm not trying to get into a petty argument, but how many of the 100/200 games are going on at once? What is the caliber of the players? I may be wrong because I've only watched the party and UB 100/200 games ( I think ) , so feel free to correct me.

would love to play some bigger live games, unfortunately there's really not much in my area. Nothing bigger than 30-60 in Vancouver, I believe

[/ QUOTE ]

If you request it, they can set up a 50/100 game at the RR on Friday nights and trust me - it will be a good game.

EG I see it as significantly better to be making 400 an hour playing 100/200 online than making 400 an hour playing 30/60.

Yeah, why settle for a std. dev. of 960/100 hands when you can have one of 3200+/100 hands.

I don't quite understand, because you'd have to make 8BB/100 or so live to make 800 an hour, or 2BB/100 4 tabling online? to make the same, right?

Edit: you obviously know more than me, so I'll stop posting here. The highest I've played is 15/30 so I can't talk.
