...and then proceeded to get married to a psycho. [/ QUOTE ] They're all psycho...just try to find one not as psycho as the rest. [ QUOTE ] I allowed her to turn my life upside down, she left me financially and emotionally bankrupt. I spent the first year at my parents trying to work things out with her, and fix up my house to sell, which I did. (This basically saved me from filing BK). [/ QUOTE ] You tried to grow up too fast. No big deal. Just fix it now. [ QUOTE ] Jobs don't pay anything here in the incredibly shrinking city. I was a MANAGER over 3 MCSE's, and an Inventory clerk, I was making $17/hr. I am nowhere qualified for that kind of position anymore. Playing poker an extra 10hrs/week would more than equal what I could make at a job, even if I wasted 2yrs at school finishing my degree first. [/ QUOTE ] As a manager over MCSEs, you should have been making much more than $17/hr unless you live in a severely depressed economic area. I have a 4 year degree. I can assure you I make much more than most of the online grinders who post here. [ QUOTE ] ... I am moving into an apartment tomorrow, I looked at one yesterday, and I am looking at one later today, I will pick between the two. [/ QUOTE ] You're on the right track dude. Good luck. |

Well, I think this thread hasn't accomplished much, but I'll add my $.02.
I think you should find a part-time or full-time job with benefits that would have you working 30-40 hours a week. This way, you can then play 20 hours a week without feeling too burned out. And yes, move out. |

"Jobs don't pay anything here in the incredibly shrinking city."
Do want to see the bad side of Dayton? Oh, that's the whole town... But, seriously - you should consider moving. The Columbus job market is still decent as the area is still growing. I believe Cincinnati's growth is a little more stagnant, but there is still more opportunity. Overall, it sounds as if you are heading up after a long downswing. Keep your chin up and get your life back in order. |
