When I want a steak in Matthattan I almost always go to Les Halles, sometimes to City Hall. [/ QUOTE ] I've been to Les Halles a lot and enjoy it. Wolfgang's is my new favorite in the city, though. It was pretty much Luger's with a nicer space and without the hassle of reservations far in advance and getting to Brooklyn.

Union Square area to watch the game
Which bars do you like there? I end up eating there a fair amount (Republic, Candela, Yama, Casa Mono, Union Square Cafe, Blue Water Grill, ...) but haven't really found any bars there that I really like. Years ago, we used to go to Coffee Shop all the time and it ruled, but that seems to have gone downhill. On a tangentially-related note, this weekend I'm going to Esca for dinner. Been there?

I end up boozing a decent amount at Old Town, which is convenient since they have pretty good burgers too. Otherwise I'm at Beauty Bar a lot or Craftbar, which is another good place to eat.
