Definitely put me down for blue $1. White chips suck and I won't buy any (although a tournament set is put together without any $1 chips . I would rather this be my cash set and have my cheap chips be my tournament set but there are YEARS to collect chips so whatever.

I honestly don't care what the inlays have on them or what size they are, you guys hash it out... I just want them shaped. Shaped inlays are the beauty in this set. I'll put up with a lot of paulson's crap and a theme I wouldn't neccesarily have chosen if I can get shaped inlays under $1/chip.

In all the inlays, I haven't seen a Scarab anywhere. There ought to be a scarab in any Egyptian theme.

Johnny5 and I looked EVERYWHERE for a good scarab or khepri image, and didn't find one. We both knew that two chips with big wings would not go over well, but I wanted to get these chips in front of you.

We took off the blue Sphinx head because it didnt fit the theme. It had a background image, plus it was a second "pharaoh head" with headdress, right next to the $1 chip.

I need to get a consolidated list of pros and cons for the two choices of "blue $1" or "white $1." Then I'll make a final decision.

I actually like the "blue turkey", not as big a fan as the image on the $25.

This might be good on the green chip:

Maybe for the blue chip:

Ten,

Add this to the pros for a blue $1 chip.

As inflation makes .25 useless in a home games, the color the blue chips provide will be lost. The only way to get blue chips into the game would be to re-denominate them to another value, like $2. When spending this much for denominated chips it just seems tacky to do that. This was my also my reasoning for having the lowest chip non-denominated, whatever the color.

1) Which is why I voted for the low denom chip being the one that's also available un-denominated
2) .25: Still quite relevant for ante games
3) Mostly, I'm still pretty happy however it goes.

White $1

Pros: Most casinos use a white for the $1 chip, and this is supposed to be a casino fantasy chip.
The chip kicks ass... I love the way the Pharoah's head matches the color of the edge spot. The design really looks good. Simple and classic. I really want to to get this chip but I don't want to buy any 25 cent denominaton chips.
I'll be crossing my fingers that you keep it the way it is.

Email me the sources of these images and I'll try to get releases for them if I decide to use them. I like the second one a lot for the blue chip. I looked high and low for a good winged scarab, which is what I wanted for the blue chip.

Likewise: I also think the white $1 fits best with the fantasy casino theme, plus it looks great. The subtle colour-matching between the pharoah's head and the edge spots is fantastic.

Not to pick sides at all, but realize that whichever the white is, $1 or 25¢, the sandstone head goes with it. So that can't really be a point for the white $1...
