Re: Paradise Million Strategy?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Stupidest response ever. I'd rather see 5 posts from someone than 2624 where even 1 is this moronic. You had 5 posts too once. Get off your high horse. [/ QUOTE ] It has very little to do with his post count. It has everything to do with the fact that he is looking for answers without wanting to do any work himself, and besides that he expects us to support him when he clearly just registered. It would be one thing if he even had 50 posts in strategy forums and then created this thread, but it's obvious that the only purpose of this account was to get help from twoplustwo. This guy has never contributed anything! Yet he expects us to give him a great working strategy for this tournament. The sad thing is that some of you came running to help him. Ridiculous. I have come to expect people at twoplustwo to not want to think about problems, especially in poker hands. But at least they usually make something of a pathetic attempt to help others out without simply expecting to be spoonfed every detail of information. This guy is different--he's a total child, capable of accomplishing nothing on his own. [/ QUOTE ] It's not like 2+2 is a bunch of "Poker Professor" who have all the obvious answers. He's trying to get information from his poker playing peers. This IS him working at it. The only way he'd be a moron is if he accepted EVERYTHING all these armchair poker professionals tell him... |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Nonetheless you've come across as a jackass. [/ QUOTE ] I could care less what you or the collective internet forum community thinks of me. [ QUOTE ] Berating someone at an online forum (2+2 or any other) is just as bad as berating someone at the poker table. It accomplishes nothing. [/ QUOTE ] Wrong. Berating someone at the table makes them leave and frequently would cost me a lot of money if I did it. Berating this guy cost me only a few minutes, and I got some enjoyment out of it so it wasn't a total loss. [/ QUOTE ]owned lol [/ QUOTE ] Yeah owned lol. The bottom line is that there is no need to be a jackass. As a non-poker all star, I thought this guy was asking a perfectly legitimate question. Start unnecessarily criticizing every new poster and you won't have any new posters. But hey, that's just my opinion. |

Certainly making him feel like an idiot doesn't help. |

He, like 90% of the people that have come here at some point, was never going to contribute anything real anyway. If me talking to him like I have causes him to leave I guarantee you he wouldn't have lasted very long at twoplustwo anyway (this is probably the case). |

Next time don't play in a tournament with an absolutely retarded structure and rules like this. But enjoy your 10k, I guess. If you had actually entered a tournament with a real structure you'd be making a ton more on average, but hey YOU COULD WIN A MILLION!!!!!!!!!111111111111 [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, pass up a free shot at potentially big money. Brilliant advice. |

Re: Paradise Million Strategy?
Hey Pinsker (Professor77),
The advice given above to gamble is good. You're close to the red zone, with only <20x BB in chips (btw, Paradise reports the BB as $40K, making you 10xBB). I'd be making aggressive all-in bets at the blinds with favorable position (late / late-mid position, first to enter the pot), or a Ace or Big King from any position when first enter the pot. More importantly, I would totally *not worry* about the cameras and lights. First, you don't have time to worry. Second, I doubt that anyone ever sees these taped Paradise events. The Paradise Masters tourneys were taped, but I'm not sure they were broadcast... Don't worry too much, since your crazy all-in moves will never be aired. Good luck, Frank |
