for the 8-table level, you will need to play 63 hands an hour, on each table. That seems impossibly high.

[/ QUOTE ]

I was sustaining this easily at 5/10 and 10/20 full, but at .50/1, with so many more players to act on each round, it does seem pretty much impossible.

Well, on all levels you have to play 63 hands per hour per table. Like I said, I picked the numbers somewhat arbitrarily to be nice and big and round, but I based them off my h/m/t rates from 3/6. I think if you start the challenge after the lag from revving up to 8 tables, it's still possible.

For december I played 8,577 .5/1 hands in 8252 minutes, for 1.04 hands/minute, which, over 24 hours would leave me 19 hands short of the 12k needed to pass the 8 table challenge.

It's close enough that I think it's possible, and close enough that I certainly need to give it a shot before changing the standards.

If someone wants to set comparatively tough standards, I'm sure that ADSHOC (All-day shorthanded holdem...) can get started.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, if anyone is up for this I'm thinking of giving it a try sometime in the next few weeks. The SH tables can get like 90/hr, but the tables break a lot more, so I think 15-16k would be reasonable for an allday thing with 8tables... That would be one helluva marathon session with the pace of those games, but I wanna give it a shot.

Default I\'m announcing my ADHOC challenge.

I will be taking the 8-table ADHOC challenge starting at 12:00 AM Pacific time on Monday, January 10th.

Please do not give out my Party or Empire aliases on these boards. Many of you know them, and are welcome to come and find me, but there's no need to broadcast it universally.

I will start a challenge thread around midnight on Sunday night so that all may join in the sublime travesty.

Seeing as you completed it first time the next person needs to set the bar that little higher. Doing longer than 24 hours seems 1 way or maybe a higher limit. I want to organise a day to do 30 hours of 8 tabling 2/4 as a possible next step up.
