Oh yeah, that's always been a huge favorite of mine. I like it better even than the temptation line. But for some reason I always thought that line came from Gore Vidal. I guess I'm getting my witheringly acidic-witted gay bon vivant writers mixed up again. Sometimes it's hard to pull them apart.

-Albert Einstein

Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen.
-Albert Einstein

Sometimes I think we’re alone in the universe. Sometimes I think we’re not. In either case, the idea is quite staggering.
-Arthur C. Clarke

No matter how warm or soft your bed is, you still have to get out of it.
-Grace Slick

Sometimes the straightest path is through the mud
-Dilbert

Courage is resistance to fear mastery of fear not absence of fear.
-Mark Twain

There is a fine line between being creative, and being a lunatic

There is a fine line between being brave, and being stupid

If our brain were so simple that we could understand it, we would be so simple that we couldn’t.
-Jon Evans

God doesn't play dice.
-Albert Einstein

God not only plays dice, he sometime throws the dice where they cannot be seen.
-Stephen Hawking

It is impossible to imagine a four-dimensional universe. I personally find it hard enough imagining a three-dimensional one.
-Stephen Hawking

Lose your dreams and you could lose your mind.

Why is it that nobody understands me and everybody likes me?
-Albert Einstein

It’s supposed to be hard. If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. It’s the hard that makes it great.
-Tom Hanks in “A League Of Their Own”

Hakuna Matata
-Timon and Pumba

The only difference between a hallucination and a vision is the number of people who see it.
-Jon Evans

Of all true word of tongue or pen the saddest are these “it might have been”.
-J.G. Whittier

Every time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against an injustice, he sends out a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current the can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.
-Robert Kennedy

Women marry men, hoping to change them. They never do. Men marry women, hoping they'll never change. They always do.
-Oscar Wilde

Things should be made as simple as possible -- no simpler.

It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure.
-Albert Einstein

He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, deplorable love-of-country stance, how violently I hate all this, how despicable an ignoreable war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder.

-Albert Einstein

A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death.
-Albert Einstein

Sometimes one pays most for the things one gets for nothing.
-Albert Einstein

The interpretation of dreams is the royal road to knowledge of the unconscious activities of the mind
-Sigmund Freud 40

Violence as a way of achieving justice is both impractical and immoral. It is impractical because it is a descending spiral ending in destruction for all. The old law of an eye for an eye leaves everyone blind. It is immoral because it seeks to humiliate the opponent rather than win his understanding; it seeks to annihilate rather than convert. Violence is immoral because it thrives on hatred rather than love. It destroys community and makes brotherhood impossible. It leaves society in monologue rather than dialogue. Violence ends by defeating itself. It creates bitterness in the survivors and brutality in the destroyers.

I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal." I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a desert state, sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

Lechery, sir, it provokes, and unprovokes;
it provokes the desire, but it takes
away the performance: therefore, much drink
may be said to be an equivocator with lechery:
it makes him, and it mars him; it sets

and disheartens him; makes him stand to, and
not stand to; in conclusion, equivocates him
in a sleep, and, giving him the lie, leaves him.

Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much... the wheel, New York, wars, and so on, whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. ~Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

Then take me disappearin' through the smoke rings of my mind,
Down the foggy ruins of time, far past the frozen leaves,
The haunted, frightened trees, out to the windy beach,
Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow.
Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free,
Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands,
With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves,
Let me forget about today until tomorrow.
