Oops.

I'm sorry dude. I totally boned up your thread because I confused this hand with another one. I read this one once then came back to it and got everything all screwed up.

(It was good to someone do the hand combos though. I was going to do that before I got all backwards, but I'm too lazy.)

And my vote was for checking the turn. (If this is the same hand I'm thinking of.)

We were indeed discussing it, so you're probably back with us. But I'm curious whether people think we'd still be better off checking vs betting if we can now stipulate that a turn bet would be with the intention of folding to a c/r. It seems to come down to risking being pushed off a split vs the chance that we're up against a worse hand we'll miss a bet against + give a free card to (if we further stipulate that TT, QQ, KQ won't c/r often enough to worry about, which seems to be reasonable).

If hero calls the turn c/r would check/fold be a bad play on the river? Villian probably isn't bluffing on both the turn and river. If he bets again on river he probably has top pair beat Im thinking.

Or tied. Villain would love to push us off AK. He probably also bluffs a worse hand sometimes. When we're beaten, we're crushed. If I call the turn it's because I think I have enough hand to show down UI.

Default results and final thoughts

I hate the idea of giving the few hands we beat a free draw at 6+ outs. I also hate the prospect of being pushed off a split. In the end, I think I hate the latter more since it will probably occur more frequently.

But not as much as I hate a bet/calldown... which is exactly what I did. Villain shows JJ and MHING.

Thanks everyone.
