Totally off topic: Are the both of yooz in LA or NYC? (Or some third locale...)

If it's the latter I'm almost tempted to get down there right now to play... I had heard that they had gotten a pretty vigorous 4/8 going at a certain locale.

[/ QUOTE ]

NYC, YES, Yes and yes.

PS: Armond misses you, I don't for obvious "Yes" reasons

I'll be down next weekend... I miss Armond as well.

What would you say for some triple draw next Thursday?

[/ QUOTE ]

I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] U! I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Armond if he will play as well! This is Chucks chance for a comeback (and I know he will have one, lucky little devil) and brettbrettr's chance to learn how to play TD.

Jason,

If you put him on QQ+, 33 or 55, why did you bet the turn? I think betting that turn was the biggest mistake in this hand. For the same price you could see a showdown, and I think TT is bluff raising this turn often enough to make this important.

I'm not answering any of your questions until you answer mine: are you coming to Las Vegas? I miss you.

Remind him that Vegas has Blackjack. It doesn't have Southern women though.

: Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
TT bets, I raise, UTG+1 folds, TT 3-bets, I 4-bet (no cap), TT calls.

Why did you 4 bet the flop? I was wondering that after we played the hand, I forgot to ask. Knowing you were willing to 4-bet allowed me check-raise the turn.

After thinking about this hand some more, I am beginning to doubt my own play here. Does anyone 5 bet the flop, and why if so? How do you think the results would change, would that be the more profitable method?

No. His betting that turn was the biggest mistake in the hand. You need to let him have the chance to make it.

Of course, I wouldn't count on him making it very often in the future.

I think 55 and 77 are in his range too.

If TT has the same read as you then these statments don't match up well.

Would a bigger mistake be made if he called down? What are the chances I could have gotten him to call a turn and river bet as well by 5 betting?

I think my turn raise made him fold, I'm not sure what a 5-bet on the flop would induce Jason to do. This is interesting, we don't often get to discuss hands with no cap.
