Notice I said folding JJ in a multiway pot only; I gave another example of where I would not fold a similiar hand in a two or three handed pot. I'm talking about JJ say in a 7 or 8 way pot, especially if there was no raise pre-flop.

[/ QUOTE ]

With 8 opponents, if your JJ is the best hand after the flop, they need 32 cummulative outs to make you a money underdog. So, you don't even need to have the best hand after the flop, to warrant going to the river 100% of the time with your JJ, if, the betting is not so STRONG, that it becomes quickly evident on the turn that you're toast.
That, however, it often hard to do on-line, which is where I do not play.

Can we option this poster down to the Micro Limit forum?

Edit Just read Diablo's post. Beginners forum might be better.

and to the guy who said "Implied odds is nice, reverse implied odds is not nice" I say I'm glad you got something out of it.

I thought my summary was pretty good. Apparently you don't think so.

Posting an essay-length discussion of very basic poker concepts in a forum populated by very good and very knowledgeable players will likley result in three different flavors of responses: (1) derision at the substantive mistakes in your post; (2) derision at the wordiness of your post; or (3) silence, as no one will be troubled to engage in a generalized discussion about basic concepts long since understood. The Bride explained pretty succinctly why you didn't get responses along the lines that you had originally hoped for.
