So when you open raise from UTG you are betting 12BB? Jeez that's a lot.

I like the 4xBB+1/limper rule. In EP with AA or KK, I'll limp/reraise a large amount, or with those hands in SB or BB, I'll overbet to look like I'm trying to steal the limper's money.

In practice, I use the "bet pot" box a lot.

I play mostly full ring on PP. On that site, if there is at least 1 limper to me, then the "Bet Pot" check box works out just about right. If its folded to me, then the resulting raise is too small (less than 4xBB), so in that case I manually make it 4xBB.

I play 3 tables, so this is a nice, consistent way to quickly make a raise from MP or LP that accounts for the number of limpers.

What about occasionally doing wierd bets preflop, say a minraise in early position, or 1.5xbb?

I cannot see any meaning with that honestly. Occasionaly limp with AA or KK is ok by all means but the minraise or 1.5bb raise.. naah, i dont like that at all.

Most of the time against limpers yes if I think I have the best hand and a decent chance to steal the pot preflop.

If only UTG limps and the rest folds I probably check though.

Everything depends on my reads of the opponents of course.

..And if someone with for example 18% flop seen limps (regardless of his position) I sure will check.
