Re: Foxwoods new 2-5 NL, HUGE time charge
Hi SOB,
[ QUOTE ] since i assume you are indeed making the $150,000/year tax free playing a standard 40hour workweek that you claim is attainable, i congratulate you on your success. [/ QUOTE ] I'm not going to specifically comment on my yearly earnings. However, I'm surprised you'd think it was tax-free. I pay income tax, and it stings. Also, I sure as hell don't play 40 hours per week--who needs to when you can make 10 to 15 Big Blinds/hour in a NL game? I have a wife, a son, a guitar, and a playstation, and these things demand my attention. You kids who are putting in those types of hours just to make a quarter mil a year or whatever are wasting precious time. |

Re: Foxwoods new 2-5 NL, HUGE time charge
There are a lot of newbies who wander into the poker room to 'try poker' nowadays. There have always been loads of people who go to the casino to 'have fun' (i.e. blow a few hundred playing negative expectation games knowing full well they will loose). With the popularity of poker people are now 'trying' poker in addition to blackjack, roulette, etc.
There are people with almost no poker skills beyond knowing that trips beat 2 pair who wander into the casino poker room. If I didn't live 2 hours away I would be at foxwoods all the time. There are drunks who raise every hand 'for fun', etc. There are .25/.50 limit games online that play like a 10/20 limit poker game on a weekend night in a casino. |

Re: Foxwoods new 2-5 NL, HUGE time charge
Is it more profitable to play online? Probably. Is it profitable to play this game? If you are good... yes. $10/hr vs $12/hr in rake shouldn't affect your earn too much.
