private bathroom v. raise

I can't be the only one to think this way:

Take the bathroom, then charge people $5 per visit to use your private bathroom.

Obviously, this takes some judgement, you don't want the building alcoholic dropping Jaeger Bombs in your private oasis.

Our office is pretty small these days, and the bathroom is plenty sufficient for my needs. I'd take a 1% raise over my own commode. 5% is a no-brainer.

See Patrick, this is one advantage to having an office job. Just this morning I told one of my minions (clerical people) to proof read some letter I wrote and type out some forms for me. Maybe later I'll dictate a letter while taking a dump.

not to brag (although i'm sure that's how it will seem) but my annual total comp is very healthy (mid-six figures - i manage a mutual fund) ... 5% isn't going to change my way of life but it IS a nice chunk of change that i can do something fun with. our office bathrooms are immaculately kept and i'm in there two minuter per day, if that. for me, the raise is a no-brainer.
