[ QUOTE ]
haha, riggs vs mr joshua in lethal weapon 1, the final scene in lethal weapon 4 is kinda cool, i dig fights that happen in the rain [/ QUOTE ] Good choice! This fight ends in a triangle choke. It was choreographed by Rorion Gracie (I think.) |

They Live -Matt [/ QUOTE ] I would have said this, except JBB wanted a fight between a hero and a villain (not the case here) at the end of the movie (not the case here). But it is a kick-ass fight scene. |

Skinheads vs. Asians in "Romper Stomper." [/ QUOTE ] I now realize that I've violated the parameters laid out by JBB. Nonetheless, this scene kicks much ass. |

Re: Coolest \"epic fight scene\" in a movie?
[ QUOTE ]
What I mean by "epic fight scene" is a one on one fight scene between the hero and the villain that is usually the cilmax of the movie. It's also probably long. [/ QUOTE ] I'd say the shootout in Heat after the bank robbery, but that's not the climax of the movie. EDIT: nor is it one-on-one |

Re: Coolest \"epic fight scene\" in a movie?
Bruce Lee vs. Chuck Norris in Return of the Dragon. It's especially great because the whole thing is set up as a psychological progression, not just a matter of eventual luck, surprise, or who's the grittiest or baddest or whatever.
I wish that way of setting up fights, to make them inherently interesting on a level that goes beyond the punch-out, had caught on. Fight scenes would be much more fun today, and less mechanical. I still have the most fun in fight scenes that have psychological elements to them. |
