If you're barhopping, supplicating will get you nowhere. Unless it's a country-n-western club.

you obviously don't go to many dancehalls.

Good post.

However, you have to also look at the meta game situation here. If no guys bought drinks for hot bar sluts, then nobody would get to pipe them in a drunken stupor later in the night. So if a girl tries this on you, you might consider taking one for the team.

I can't say I get approached in this manner, maybe cause I live in a small town and a lot of people know me and know I have a girlfriend. However it's not for lack of going to bars, some of them kinda trendy/expensive.

is this really a problem that runs rampant out there??? i mean the only time i'm buying drinks for a girl i don't know is if i'm hammered and buying them for everyone and i don't remember doing it or i've been talking to her for a while (back in the day.) i mean are you guys just going out with a shirt that says "sucker" on it?

I guess I still don't get it. The problem is you don't want to buy a girl a drink? What happens, she walks away after having one with you? (For reals, I don't know.)

Personally I'd shell out the $10 to have a hot chick flirt with me and perhaps my winning personality would make her want to stick around. I'm kinda hardup though.

I also rarely buy drinks (or did when I went to clubs)-- I'm not saying a guy has to buy me a drink to talk to me, but it's a really nice gesture. (vodka cran, if anyone's taking notes.) I've never approached a stranger with the intention of getting a drink though-- guess I don't know exactly what I could get away with

Incidentally, I'd be hella shocked if something like the meanness in the OP rolled off of a guys tongue that I was talking to at a bar-- perhaps there are women who will whore themselves out for a drink (drunks?) but what happens when the girl who genuinely was interested is slapped with something like that? There's like, *no* chance then. I don't like no chance

I guess I'm naive, eh?

Not totally naive, Asia, but you said yourself that you don't approach random guys. I think this described most women. So perhaps you can see that the type of personality that will approach guys will often abuse them.

When the OP mentioned a 'new place', I assumed he was talking about the girl being a shill drumming up business for the place...

Other then that, I didn't get it either. Haven't witnessed it either...

Oh...but I don't go to bars

no not naive, sincere? maybe. genuine? maybe.

the OP is talking about the snooty chicks that have "another agenda" not girls that are cool and are out for the company of others and a good time.
