Stick It In Her Pooper. It's supposed to be a thread-killer, but nobody respects it, anymore.

What the heck is a pokerbot? Sorry...I'm new to internet poker....

[/ QUOTE ]

A poker playing program. I wish I were smart enough to make one myself. I think I could create a winner given the correct technical knowhow.

[/ QUOTE ]

I hate bots, I hate the programmers 5x as much.

my buddy ran into something like this at the 1/2 full table sometime, heres what we did....
1st pokertrackered all his hands and showdown data, then we catalogued it and analyzed it. We found out that he was folding everything but AK,AQs, JJ+ to a reraise, so we just totally banged him when he opened, then if he stayed in or reraised, it was terribly accurate to put him on hands
we notified ultimate bet just as we began doing this because we didnt realize the potential, but he was taken off never to be seen after about 7 days, and 150$ profit.

lol Savage, the point is he's played 1300 hands WITH the OP.

Yes you've played 5k in 11 days, but have you played 1k with a particular opponent?

[/ QUOTE ]

I assumed data mining, my bad. Bun if you have that many hands against a particular opponent, that oppenent has the same problem with you, right? Who's the bot?

This is an offshoot of the Porno Shop Principle, btw. You should never be afraid of being spotted in a porno shop, since the spotter would also be there.

unless the spotter is a cop who is doing a raid cause the shop is selling illegal porn... then you might be worried about getting spotted... ;-)

Probably not. They are excrutiatingly difficult. Counting outs is cake, but poker isn't about counting outs. There are a huge number of variables that we consider when playing poker, and codifying them is non-trivial. Throw in sample-size problem, short-term effects like tilt, and rake, and a bot that could do anything other than break even is far more than any simple codification of (say) SSHE. There are single sentances in that book that have serious implications for poker strategy.

I think it's far easier to Get Rich Quick learning to beat 15-30.

I have him 13.63/3.41/2.29 down 1.76bb/100 over 441 hands. Common. It's that he only chats in hexadecimal that worries me.
