Would it be more useful to put it in terms of SB/player rather than in an absolute number? 12SB among 6 players is not as significant as 12SB among 3 players, is it?

I dont think the flops are that different. In the first example you have wheel draws from people limping in with Axs with the kicker being low. In the example I provided you have J10 straight draw to worry about suited or not. I find that people on party are just as willing to play Axs as they are J10.

I would raise the flop I provided as well as the example. If they are willing to cold call two bets preflop, I am sure they are willing to call 2 cold for their flush draw.

First, JT is not going to fold the flop for a raise anyway so if you think raising will get him out you are likely wrong.

Second, as Brett pointed out this flop is different. For one, you don't hold one of the flush draw outs. This flop is also slightly more likely to make straights.

But probably the biggest difference is Hero's position. In Ed's hand he has the ability to bet out on the turn. In your hand you will often be in a spot where you are to the left of the bettor once again on the turn.

I raise yours and call Ed´s.

I dont think CO will raise more hands if you call than he will if you raise, so I´d rather try for a bigger pot. Anyone with anything decent will call 2 anyway on this board and you may get someone 3 betting a draw.

i got the answer wrong and thought pretty much about it.

here are two (pretty obvious) reasons for a raise:
- there might be a gutshot out there. i don't want to give a gutshot propper odds.
- many low limit life player will call 2 bets cold with weak holdings anyway. why make them call 1 bet drawing dead instead of charging 2 if many of those guys will pay anyway?

these 2 points make the decission at least very close. i am not convinced that a slow play is correct.
