alright, BP's projections for carpenter this year

50 percentile - 164 innings at 119:45 K/BB and roughly a 4 era.

90th percentile - 191 innings, 144:51 K/BB, low 3 era.

and yet, he's crushing that 90th percentile projection. That's what peeves me, that of all the team to get this kind of performance...it's them Rat bastards.

Well, it *is* his second year in a row like this. It didn't just happen yesterday.

2005 K/9: 8.91

2004 HR/9: 1.19
2005 HR/9: 0.58

2004 ERA: 3.46
2005 ERA: 2.34

Well, yeah, it kinda just happened yesterday.

Uh, you'll find that the 2004 numbers were outstanding relative to other starters as well. He was #12 among NL starting pitchers in ERA last year. That's hardly a massive jump.

clark, to increase all of his peripherals that much from the level he was on...it's not normal. At all. The previous levels are good, yes.
