Can you do the math for me?

Maybe you should try, and I'll tell you what I think. Maybe I'll end up being wrong... Regardless, I never did homework for other kids in math class...

Isn't being ahead enough?

Flop.

Ok, I think I'm wrong.

But just to humor me, with two cold-callers (albeit loose players) and a poster on the flop, what percentage of the time do you think you're ahead?

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) http://216.119.70.224/converter/hhconverter.pl

Turn: (6.25 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)

River: (8.25 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero????

Now what? Smallish pot, but I've made an investment. I don't like to bet/fold. I just know I'm not quite good enough to do that. I would rather check fold, but I don't like that either. Check call? Yuck.

Thoughts?

[/ QUOTE ]

I check, fukface bets and I of course, with my low w$@SD call and lose to his 10. I think I can check/fold this river from now on. Thanks to all your replies.

A sizeable minority.

Actually as far as 'missed flops' go, this is a pretty good one.

No. I don't "always" do anything. You've made it clear that you think you're ahead on this flop, so you'd bet. That's cool.

If I told you that you would be ahead only a sizeable minority of time, do you still bet this flop?

You're ahead more often on the flop than you are once you bet the turn and get called in two places.

In other words, I'm ahead often enough on this flop that I want to bet and get as many people as I can to fold. There are 10 bets in the pot, after all.

Do you think we're trailing often enough to check and fold, or are you hoping the flop gets checked around?

Random hands? Looks like about 30%.
