He wants you to think he is a nice guy so you will go to his website and buy crap. Or maybe he really is a nice guy. Either way, there is no way he didn't want to win that tourney himself.

So what possibly happened then, they called for a break and then went into the bathroom stall and discussed the deal in private?

With this much money on the line, there is no way that the deal would be kept in private, because the winner could just deny that a deal was ever made.

To think this possibly happened is ridiculous.

Explain to me your reasoning as to how this would be tax evasion, counselor? I can think of an obscure way in which this would be de minimus tax evasion; but what is the warrant for your claim?

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow, clearly the winner for dumbest post of the day.

I don't think you cross guys like Sammy Farha.. Moneymaker would have found himself in a dark alley with two busted knee caps if he stiffed a character like Farha.

On what basis are you making this assertion?

You think Moneymaker would get away with stiffed Farha out of a million dollars?

Sheesh you're naive.

I never said he'd get away with it. You seem to think that Farha has goons like a mobster and would resort to some sort of physical violence. I want to know where you are getting this from. Please elaborate.

I wish I could tell ya..

Let me just say this.. It wouldn't be the first time it happened. There's a well known regular TV player that was taken out behind the woodshed a couple times (No, Not Gus either), for stiffing people on deals and for various other actions.

I got no evidence Sam Farha would do this, but it does happen.

What a silly thread. Oliver Stone and L. Ron Hubbard have made millions off guys like you. Sammy's a pro and plays for money. He doesnt lose in order to bring more $50 internet players into his $1000 ante game.

He was being polite. I'm sure he gave far less thought to his response than any of us here.
