I got nothing but love for Sir Charles. Sorry Chuck you can’t make it to my all-time team because you blew it in 1993. You had an opportunity to win it all with the Suns.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, and he only had to go through the greatest player in the history of the game to do it. What a loser.

Edit: By this I mean John Paxson of course.

he was old in Portland

[/ QUOTE ]

All the great players were still far above average when they were "old".

Scottie is perhaps the greatest role players of all time.

I would put Magic in the point guard position but I am confident that the Big O will do just as good a job if not better

[/ QUOTE ]

How many championships does the big O have?

[/ QUOTE ]

1, with the '71 Bucks (Kareem's, er, Lew Alcindor's 2nd year).

RicktheRuler: Oscar Robertson won one in Milwaukee back before they traded Kareem to the Lakers.

I think this is why Scottie deserves some consideration. The 3 spot typically is where you have your swing man. There have been very few dominant scorers or rebounders who have played small forward, the best 3's are the guys who can do it all. Scottie was an excellent scorer, rebounder, passer, defender, and anything else you needed him to be. In that regard, he played 3 about as well as one can.

i might take Duncan at the 4.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh god. You just watched that stupid ESPN nipple-sucking fest, didn't you? Duncan is not the best power forward ever. Mailman is the greatest, and it is not even close.
