Julie Woodard, Hutslar's great niece, said she did not wish any harm to Johnson's sister. But if Johnson were allowed to donate the liver, she said, "He is going to be remembered more as a hero for saving his sister than for this brutal murder."

[/ QUOTE ]

Do you think she realizes how she is going to be remembered?

Aren't there like organ waiting lists for people who need donations? So he wouldn't be saving his sister, he'd be saving someone else.

Let him do it, why let it go to waste?

yes there r waiting lists...im on one - have been for YEARS. But it wouldnt go to someone else...they cant just take ur organ if u want it to go to someone else specific and the chances of it working withint families is far more successful than outside families so she would definately get it.

it is obvious that Bison's bleeding liberal side is peeking out.

Dead, are you a Bush supporter?

[/ QUOTE ]

Haha, no.

Read my other posts in the politics forum. I'm one of the most liberal posters on 2+2, and I proudly voted for Kerry last year.

This is the right decision. The niece's comments are way off point, however. The problem is the precedent that will be set. Everybody on death row would be trying to donate every organ they have to delay executions.

Who deserves to be more involved than the victims? They were the ones who were wronged, much more than the society as a whole.
