How can you fold for 1 bet if you are raised on the river in a 25BB pot? There is still a chance that the button could have missed his straight draw or is betting a 3 or 7 now trying to make a miraculous bluff for this pot when his hand didn’t improve. Granted this chance is very small, but it is party 1-2, I don’t know if I can say I haven’t seen it tried before.

That is exactly why you should fold. He isn't making this raise because he wants you to drop out...he is making it because he knows that you will call. When you are in a spot where the guy fully expects you to call, he can't be bluffing.

the later..its chip spewing
PF..i'll defer to the math guys..but id probably call too.
flop: protecting a pair of eights is good at 15/30..not lower limits..ie these guys will NOT fold.
only raise I like is the turn. but not when SB (who just got raised..hello.. i think he puts you on at least a pr of eights)..bets into you again!
so i'll go with the line suggested by another poster..call flop, raise turn if less than eight..but figure SB has you beat with overpair or 2 pr

best of luck!
Brian
