I believe I misread the poll at first. I don't use the terminology like you did so much, but I frequently ( to the point of death threats ) will apply poker to real life situtations.

We will be discussing something and my phrase will start out " Well, this is just like in a poker game when...." and draw some brilliant analogy.


Been toning this down some , but it's not my fault poker is a people game and mirrors life so much. To quote ND "Gosh".

I use 'overlay' at work, but since my whole understanding of risk/reward has come from gambling, I'm not even sure what the more 'proper' term is [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

I have found myself during phone conversations, replacing the word "OK" with "check". Like: "well thake it easy , man" "Alright, check, see ya later."

Many of the terms listed in this thread are really stupid if repeatedly used while talking about POKER, let alone real life.
