Re: Red Sox = Bottom of the MLB Standings
So they're laying 3-1 on a bettors money? You want to offer me that bet?

Re: Red Sox = Bottom of the MLB Standings
You're screwing up the odds.
WSEX is probably laying 1-4 on the Yankees making the playoffs. That means for every 4$ you bet, 1$ profit stands to be made. If they are giving 1-4 odds, you are saying one in 4, which is obviously not the case. Betting semantics. |

Well since every major sportsbook says you're wrong... what odds would you give me? Obviously not the same as a sportsbook, since you disagree with them.

Re: Red Sox = Bottom of the MLB Standings
He probably thinks that 11 games constitute a whole season.
Maybe he's forgotten that last year the Yankees had a .500 April. I remember it, because I watched every game. I watched Boston win 6 of 7 from us in April. They swept us at Yankee Stadium, and we lost 3 of 4 at Fenway. At least we tied them this time. They then proceeded to win the AL East by a comfortable margin, and amass the second best record in baseball. 11 games is nothing. |

I posted it here; you can look it up. What do you think the odds are that the Yanks miss the playoffs? |

Re: Red Sox = Bottom of the MLB Standings
1 in 4.
You sound so confident, let's put some money on it, you name the odds. If you think the Yankees will miss they playoffs you would want to give even odds, especially with the Yankees' bad start. |

Re: Red Sox = Bottom of the MLB Standings
It doesn't matter what I think the odds are.
I'll take an even money bet if you want. Don't forget that WSEX odds are missing one thing. Those are the odds to win the AL East. It doesn't take the wild card into account. The Yanks could win the Wild Card and still get in the playoffs. Adjust accordingly. |

You should give him at least 6-1 because of the wild card.

Re: Red Sox = Bottom of the MLB Standings
sshhhhhhhhhh...
The real point is to get him to realize that saying the Yankees are not going to make the playoffs is genuinely retarded. Because I'm 90% sure he'll never put any money on it with me. |
