Re: Mindless at Hollywood Park
Okay, I have to jump in here to mention that I was at HPC last Friday night, and I think I took your seat (were you in the 8 seat?) in the must move game when you departed. This would have been around 10:15 or so. I proceeded to be card-dead for the next two hours, alas.
I didn't notice the other players being any worse than normal. Which is sad, because it means that I've become desensitized to it, and I expect no better from most of them. Sad. But profitable. |

Re: Mindless at Hollywood Park
Andy, your ignorance is on display. Everyone knows it's much more fun to shoot at people who aren't shooting back! Well, everyone except certain Marine Corps Generals....

Re: Mindless at Hollywood Park
Yes, I was in the eight seat. I never switched my watch to the right time zone so I never knew the correct time. Sounds about right though.
I play poker at infrequently intervals now days so I think that I notice the behavior of individuals more and the contrast is starker between sessions. I notice poker trends as more of a 'punctuated equilibrium' than as a gradual overall change. Thus, poker trends and changes, and players attitudes and behaviors are more pronounce to me than perhaps to others. By my estimation the majority of players at Hollywood Park were repulsive and repugnant. -Zeno |
