What about the Mississippi Citgo Bassmaster open on Tennessee-Tombigee Waterway?

Now, you're pushing it.

That ranks right around "Fan Man."

Damn, howd I leave that out? It's just a flip from my home!

Let's throw the final day of the British Open in there, too. I like seeing these guys slugging it out in foul weather right in the middle of summer.

I like getting up early for the 18 hole coverage.
The finals of Wimbledon used to fall in this category for me as well, when Borg, McEnroe, and Conners were playing.
But these days, I sleep in.

Walking back through Kenmore Square and getting on the T after a Red Sox game (win or loss, but pre-2004 WS).

Note he was talking about the moment the band comes onto the field.

[/ QUOTE ]

hows that a repeatable moment? its pretty much the same i was talking about

[/ QUOTE ]

Did you graduate Wake Forest or do you just root for the team? He's not talking about the Cal-Stanford game, he's talking about any random Cal home game when the band comes out *before* the game.

[/ QUOTE ]

ooooooooooooooooooo

i had no idea that the band did that or anything. i dont know much about west coast colleges and their traditions. i apologize. im not normally this stupid. its late here and ive got a shitload of work to do

and i wasnt really reading the OT for some reason. i just saw Cal and band and that was that

In no particular order(some already mentioned)

Notre Dame football players charging field to their fight song(love that song)

Kentucky Derby where horses take track to Old Kentucky Home

Belmont Stakes where horses take track to EastSide/WestSide

Harry Caray's "take me out to the Ball game during 7th inning stretch

"New York, New York" after Yankee games

"Oh Canada" before hockey games(yes I know Hockey is suppose to be disqualified from this thread but I love that anthem)

Chicago Bulls intro(always thought that was the classiest thing)
