"Limp Reraise: AJs "

just curious, but why wouldn't you just open raise this? what is so special about AJ that you get fancy?

If it's passive and loose, why can't you limp?

Because I have an irrational fear of (EDIT) open-limping in EP.

I don't like open-limping either but there are certain hands that I think are too profitable to fold and if I always raised with all of them then it would make my table image looser than I'd want it to be. I do limp-reraise once in a great while in case I have any super nitty opponents.

Nothing, it's just a nice balance with the other hands that I limp raise with, and I think that range of hands is a nice balance with my weaker limping hands that makes it very difficult to isolate me. I have a very abdullian preflop strategy.

KQs. I was unsure of my turn bet, but was not putting you on an ace, unless it was a suited baby, and thought that you had either a small pair or maybe some sort of wierd draw. And i like to bet when checked to.

You likely could have put him on an ace if he had raised with his hand preflop, yes?

I realize results aren't the best way to base these decisions, but I'm curious.

I really hate the line you took. No where in the hand did you try to make a play for the pot. If cnfuzzed raised pf and you thought he had an ace check fold on the flop. If your going to call the flop, you should at least check call the turn.

Betting the turn may not be bad way to go either but check folding is just a bad line after check calling the flop b/c cnfuzzed will bet almost any hand heads up w/this board hoping to get you to fold.

On another note, I might consider check raising turn as a way to push cnfuzzed off a hand. Seeing as how there are 2 Aces on the board, it is less likely that he has one. His raising hands are cut down to KK, QQ, JJ, KQ, KJ. You might be able to push him off of a pair w/a c/r on the turn. If he 3bets you can safely fold.

I thought he might have a baby suited ace, and was planning on seeing a checkraise on the turn. Other than that, i assumed his hand was pretty weak, and thats a fairly scary board to any hand against a preflop raiser. Assuming no untoward flop action, i would probably bet this turn nearly 100% of the time.
