Just pushed in with 88 for 6500 chips utg and got called by the button with a7c. The eights held up and I'm at 14k.

Yeah, you didn't have a lot of outs there, strassa. Good game.

Made my fold in the BB with JJ pretty easy, though!

Default And we\'re all out...

strassa out at 22, BoiledOver at 19, and JerryClower at 18.

Here's my destruction:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t2000 (9 handed) converter

Hero (t34302)
UTG (t26214)
UTG+1 (t60817)
MP1 (t28520)
MP2 (t23198)
MP3 (t98584)
CO (t23547)
Button (t11278)
SB (t83195)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls t2000, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds, Hero checks.

<font color="green">For just a second, UTG+1's limp looked suspicious to me. "Oh well," I thought, "This is a hand where I want to see the flop cheap."</font>

Flop: (t5000) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets t5000</font>, UTG+1 calls t5000.

<font color="green">Hey! Wait... hmmm... well, I have to take a stab at it.</font>

Turn: (t15000) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets t10000</font>,

<font color="green">Well, the odds are pretty good now he doesn't have a ten, right?</font>

<font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 raises to t22300</font>,

<font color="green">Hmmm... not looking quite so certain now, but I can't lay this down, can I? I'm pretty much pot-committed--I'm a long way from the next money level, and these chips would be very nice in my stack.</font>

<font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to t27302 (All-In)</font>, UTG+1 calls t5002.

River: (t69604) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: t69604

Not sure how I feel about this hand. Perhaps a better player could have gotten away from this? But even if I had slowed down on the turn, I would have called his bet. Maybe that's what I should have done... figuring if he bets and I call, my hand is probably more likely to be good then if I bet and he calls?

If he had a ten, I probably wouldn't be as bothered about the results. What does bother me is that his PF limp was suspicious to me (AA? KK?), but by the turn, it was out of my mind.

Anyway, I was lucky to get this far... AQ beat KK, QJ beat AQ.
