PC Network help needed

Glad to hear your'e up and running. Turning it off should not cause any problems, but what the heck it's always a good idea to leave a new pc on for the first few days as sort of a lightweight burn in.

Don't forget we turned off the windows firewall, your router acts as a hardware firewall so you do have some protection. Try turning the windows firewall back on in a few days or a week(when you feel comfortable doing so), you should not have any problems with it now.
