You can clear a pokerstars bonus at .50/1 if you play omaha hi/lo instead of holdem. Omaha .50/1 pots go over $10 most of the time.

I have played 340 hands at .50/1.00 (limit) to clear the bonus and have earned 80 FPP so far.

Even Hi/Lo is a fold fest at Stars. I cleared their last reload bonus that way, and still had to play God knows how many hands. [ QUOTE ] If you play tourneys you can do better than playing for free. For example you: - have $500 bankroll and deposited $600 more to get your bonus. - use $1,100 to play in 200 S & G $5+0.50 and get 600 FPPs - paid $100 in fees and collect $120 bonus [/ QUOTE ] Wow, if this is for real it's an excellent tip. Seems to good to be true. |

The 600$ deposit buys you around 109 entries and you should place in the money in a couple of them which allows you to buy the remaining 99. |

You are right. If one can't place in the money frequently enough then bonus or bonus will not help.

The payouts are quick and the games are pretty tight

This is true because they give out 5 points for every dollar in entry fees, so for the 6 and 5 dollar SnGs you get 3 points, since they round up. So it is a little better than rakefree. It only works for the super-low level SnGs though

Anyone know if Stars defines "playing" in a hand as being dealt two cards or contributing to the pot?
From their FPP page "One (1) Frequent Player Point (FPP) is awarded for playing in each raked game when the rake reaches..." |
