Re: Bellagio
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] So... when these guys are playing some big/huge game... do they have green or black or whatever chips for the game and then they've got a bunch of blue for tokes? What does the rake cap out at? Does that generate $1 chips for them? [/ QUOTE ] You ask a dealer to chop a chip for you and you'll get lower denom chips you can use to toke. These games are also time charge, so no rake. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I know you can chop a chip, which is I guess what I meant to imply. I forgot about them being time charge games. |

Re: Bellagio
At what limit do you start paying by the hour versus paying rake? Is it the same in all casinos?

Re: Bellagio
10/20 is a time-charge game in AC?
weird. how much is the charge? (better than paying regular rake I assume...especially if they have auto-shufflers and decent dealers) |

Re: Bellagio
The behavior of the players the last time I played there (2nd week in July) was pretty juvenile. It was amazing to me because half of them were senior citizens that were acting like babies. Maybe part of the problem was showing up to play $4/8 at 9 a.m. on a Monday morning. It seemed like the whole table was crabby.
Anyways, I had a good time earlier that weekend in the $6/12 & $3/6 at the Mirage with a fellow 2+2er. |

Re: Bellagio
i was there during the 1st and 2nd weeks of july too.
the behavior was no better at 10pm on a Monday night or 2am on a Saturday morn. grown men (from young adults to senior citizens) acting like babies pretty much sums it up. I'm not sure if this is really THAT specific to the Bellagio though. |

Re: Bellagio
I think the behavior is the worst I've seen at any B&M. My opinion is that the players there (especially the old codgers) think that just because they're sitting in that "hallowed" room they transcend the game and become experts at everything. I wish someone would just turn off their oxygen tanks sometimes.

Re: Bellagio
Was there the first week of May. Averaged 16 hour days in the poker room. Was the most profitable room I played during my 5 days there. Did not notice rude players. Also did not have my hinney kissed by employees, but an over all fine experience. Fishiest room I have ever seen. Going back this month, I'll keep you posted.

Re: Bellagio
It is too crowded and it is hard to get attention from the brush sometimes. Some of the dealers are very rude. I apparently forgot to tip after dragging a large pot, and when I offered a tip after winning a subsequent pot, the dealer refused it. Unfortunately for her, I went on a huge rush after that, and she didn't see a chip from me. She was vocally rooting against me in each pot. Rudest dealer I've ever met.
I do like the chairs... springback... very comfortable. |
