Nah, Webster's was on ummm, Stallworth's (?) touchdown. That was a good call, but a better catch.

I'm talking about the call on Hall where they said he didn't turn to the ball soon enough.

If it was bad and on that drive, I fully take back my statement about worst calls of the game. I don't remember it as egregious like the Hall fake job in the end zone but will concede I was wrong if that was the bad call in question.

Then there we have it. Let's assume the Saints then punt and the Falcons get a chance with 1:45 left to drive and actually do drive and get 3. Halftime score: Atl 13-10.

I think we can agree the Falcons are very overrated.

how do you get def. holding on a fg? anyone?

[/ QUOTE ]

Crooked refereeing?

[/ QUOTE ]

The two worst calls in this game, by far, were the bogus Off. PI on Hakim and the defensive holding call on the FG. Take those away and you have NO 38-24. In fact, you wouldn't have had an opportunity for the end of game FG because Vick et al would be trying to make it 38-31.

When I said this was an *absurd* three hours in San Antonio, I meant it. At least I got the freakin cover.

[/ QUOTE ]

the Falcons were called repeatedly in signficant situations for very questionable defensive holding and illegal contact penalties. I agree it was an ugly game and the call at the end was nuts, but the refs did not favor the Falcons at all in this game. Atlanta played a horrible game and got away with one. They better improve their defense or its gonna be a long year.

I suppose the bottom line is if you wager the NFL often, you end up on both sides of good calls and bad calls. I've had my share of both. However, this was a game with one too many "unforeseen events" (officiating included) that went Atlanta's way. It cost me a $150 swing on the money line. I haven't been on the good end of this kind of game in quite a while.
