Re: greatest session ever?
My best session is bittersweet because it was immediateley followed by my worst session. I buy in very short, only 2 grand, at paradise poker's 40/80 table. For those of you that play this game, you can vouch on how much it swings. Im sitting 6 handed, and within 4 hours im staring at 20 k. I should have left. Feeling the rush and utter feeling of domination i stayed around and had one of the most incredible bad beat sessions of my life. Within two hours my stack dwindled to 7 grand. By this time it is about 3 oclock in the morning, i turn off the computer, contemplate jumping off a bridge, and have one the most restless sleeps in my life. I took a break for two weeks after that session, and was fortunate to take down 1st place in a 700 man multi table tourney on party poker the week i came back, slightly easing the biggest swing of my life.

Re: greatest session ever?
A couple weeks ago I had one of the biggest fish I've ever had the pleasure to play against sitting at my NL 200 max buy-in table at the Bike, and I was holding over him almost every hand. I broke him 4 times, and also broke a couple other people at the table. I finished up almost $2k in about a 2.5 hour session. As soon as that guy stood up I was gone.

Re: greatest session ever?
I won about $600 in two hours playing live 5/10 stud, won $900 on the first hand of 15/30 stud I ever played, and in online 1/2 hold'em on Party I won 130 BB in about two hours or so.

Re: greatest session ever?
Hi kyro:
In 1987, shortly after I moved to Las Vegas, I had back to back nights in the old Las Vegas Hilton poker room where I won over $2,000 each night playing $10-$20 hold'em. I never had a session at $10-$20 either before or since where I won this much. By the way, Hold 'em Poker for Advanced Players was not published until late 1988. But the private notes which David and I had developed were completed by this time. It was a lot of fun to play in games where I had a good understanding of what was correct play and very few others did. Best wishes, Mason |

Re: greatest session ever?
Last week, I tripled up+ $25 in 15-20 minutes at Party on a $.50-$1.00 limit table. A maniac played 29 hands out of 30 (I'd love to know which one he folded...must have been disconnected) and raised 9 of them and at the same time, I had an amazing run of cards. It was pretty cool. That started a run where my BB/100 when from -2 at 1500 hands to +7 at less than 2000 hands.
Anyway, that was my best session so far. Unfortunately the maniac didn't buy back in after I busted him and the table broke up right after that. |

Re: greatest session ever?
I got dealt pocket kings 13 times in an hour in a 20/40 game at Garden City a few years ago. Before that, I was stuck almost 2000, and the game was completely crazy. All of my kings held up, and all pots were capped preflop. Several times an A flopped, and I somehow managed to see the showdown, and I was good. I didn't flop a single set, either with them. It was ridiculous, people were saying "what you have King's again?!?" when I raised preflop, and I said "of course!!!" They didn't believe me. Lol. I left a 4000 winner. Simply amazing.

Re: greatest session ever?
At Party 1/2 6 max I was run over by the deck one night and made about 325BB in one night. Probably about 5-6 hours of 4-tabling.
