I think you serverely undervalue Favre and Pennington (pre-injury) and overvalue Leftwich. I understand the impulse to evenly group, but it doens't work.

Favre (now) sucks. He is a hall-of-famer, but over the hill and is deserving of his rank.

Pennington is a creation of the New York media bias.

Did you watch the game the other night?

If you're saying that the NY media is biased towards quarterbacks who don't turn the ball over and complete an extremely high percentage of their passes, then, sure.

The current Kurt Warner is below average. I know you understand and are just baiting me.

Warner won't get his job back from McCown, IMO.

He is 18th in QB rating this year.

So not turning the ball over is a big key for you, huh? Well Favre has the second-most INTs in the NFL this season. You can't have it both ways.

There are different types of QBs on different teams with different needs and skills. Some can afford to throw picks--ie, Favre in the past. He's always thrown picks, he "freelances" a lot, as they say. Considering the Packers have deteriorated so badly the picks will be more cotly for them this year, but its not like this is anything new. Yes, he's thrown more picks than usual this year and, yes, he's not the guy he once was. But to say he's "average" is wrong.

Continuing on, there are other types like Pennington who don't have big arms are valued for their accuracy and ability to move the ball, control the clock etc. This "typing" of QBs should be obvious so, yes, I do get to have it both ways. How else does everyone get Vick on their list? He has value for other reasons...
